This paper studies the static deformation behavior of a piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducer (PMUT) actuated by a strong external electric field. The transducer membrane consists of a piezoelectric layer, a passive layer and two electrode layers. The nonlinearities of the piezoelectric layer caused by electrostriction under a strong electric field are analyzed. Because the thickness of the transducer membrane is on the microscale, the size dependence of the deformation behavior is evaluated using the couple stress theory. The results show that the optimal ratio of the top electrode diameter and the membrane diameter is around 0.674. It is also found that this optimal value does not depend on any other parameters if the thicknesses of the two electrodes are negligible compared with those of the piezoelectric and passive layers. In addition, the nonlinearities of the piezoelectric layer will become stronger along with the increase of the electric field, which means that softening of the membrane stiffness occurs when a strong external electric field is applied. Meanwhile, the optimal thickness ratio for the passive layer and the piezoelectric layer is not equal to 1.0 which is usually adopted by previous researchers. Because there exists size dependence of membrane deformation, the optimal value of this thickness ratio needs to be greater than 1.0 on the microscale.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical method for electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) under voltage excitation and considers the non-uniform distribution of the biased magnetic field. A complete model of EMATs including the non-uniform biased magnetic field, a pulsed eddy current field and the acoustic field is built up. The pulsed voltage excitation is transformed to the frequency domain by fast Fourier transformation (FFT). In terms of the time harmonic field equations of the EMAT system, the impedances of the coils under different frequencies are calculated according to the circuit-field coupling method and Poynting’s theorem. Then the currents under different frequencies are calculated according to Ohm’s law and the pulsed current excitation is obtained by inverse fast Fourier transformation (IFFT). Lastly, the sequentially coupled finite element method (FEM) is used to calculate the Lorentz force in the EMATs under the current excitation. An actual EMAT with a two-layer two-bundle printed circuit board (PCB) coil, a rectangular permanent magnet and an aluminium specimen is analysed. The coil impedances and the pulsed current are calculated and compared with the experimental results. Their agreement verified the validity of the proposed method. Further- more, the influences of lift-off distances and the non-uniform static magnetic field on the Lorentz force under pulsed voltage excitation are studied.  相似文献

Harmonic acoustic radiation from a modally oscillating spherical source positioned at the center of a fluid-filled cylindrical cavity embedded within a fluid-saturated porous elastic formation is studied in an exact manner. The formulation utilizes the Biot theory of dynamic poroelasticity along with the cylindrical to spherical wave-field transformations, and the pertinent boundary conditions to obtain a closed-form series solution. The analytical results are illustrated with a numerical example in which the spherical source, with its polar axis oriented along the main axis of a water-filled borehole and embedded within a water-saturated Ridgefield sandstone formation, is excited in vibrational modes of various orders. The magnitude of the reflected component of acoustic pressure along the axis of the borehole for a pulsating (n = 0), an oscillating (n = 1), and also a multipole (n = 0–3) spherical source as a function of the excitation frequency is calculated and discussed for representative values of the parameters characterizing the system. Special attention is paid to the effects of source excitation frequency, size, surface velocity profile, and internal impedance as well as borehole interface permeability condition on the reflected pressure magnitudes. Limiting cases are considered and fair agreements with well-known solutions are obtained.  相似文献

在FeNi+C体系中合成了具有六面体、六八面体、八面体形状的金刚石单晶,晶形完整,包裹体较少.其中,六面体和八面体金刚石内部的包裹体呈辐射状分布,主要分布在从晶体几何中心到顶角的连线上;六八面体内部没有包裹体呈辐射状分布的情况.我们认为,FeNi+C体系合成金刚石,其包裹体的形成在一定程度上源于不同晶向的生长速度差异,当晶体沿某晶向生长速度过快时,杂质元素不能完全及时地排除,在降温时形成了包裹体.Mossbauer测试结果表明金刚石中包裹体的主要成分为Fe3C和FeNi合金.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the initial boundary value problem for a cylindrical symmetry fluid–particle interaction system in three dimensions. The boundary layer phenomena is investigated when the shear viscosity μ=κρβ goes to zero. Furthermore, we establish the boundary layer thickness of the order O(κα) for more general initial data when 0<α<12 and give the optimal boundary-layer thickness for the system with more general initial data. As a byproduct, this work improves the corresponding results in Yao et al. (2011) for isentropic compressible Navier–Stokes equations where 0<α<14.  相似文献

Acoustic agglomeration technology use high-intensity acoustic field to make aerosol particles collide and condense rapidly. Existing studies have shown that 70%–90% of fine particles can be eliminated within minutes using compression drives and air-jet generators. Currently, there are limitations to the sound sources used. In this paper, an airborne ultrasonic transducer with a resonant frequency of 15 kHz is designed, followed by the corresponding numerical simulation and experiments for the evaluation of the vibration modal and sound pressure field. The sound pressure levels (SPL) of the open space and the agglomeration chamber can reach 150 dB and 156 dB, respectively. The agglomeration effect of water droplets, liquid phase smoke, solid phase smoke and mixed smoke is experimentally investigated, and the light transmittance rapidly increases from 8% to 60% within 4 s, 8 s, 5 s and 6 s, respectively. Agglomeration is also effective in the high-frequency range, and we infer that the acoustic wake effect is the predominant mechanism. The elimination effect is promoted with the increasing of SPL until the corresponding secondary acoustic effect is enhanced. Moreover, the agglomeration rate of higher concentration aerosol is significantly better than that of diluted aerosols in ultrasonic agglomeration process.  相似文献

The fabrication of uniform cylindrical nanoobjects from soft materials has attracted tremendous research attention from both fundamental research and practical application points of view but has also posed outstanding challenges in terms of their preparation. Herein, we report a one-step method to assemble cylindrical micelles (CMs) with highly controllable lengths from a single liquid crystalline block copolymer by an in situ nucleation-growth strategy. By adjusting the assembly conditions, the lengths of the CMs are controlled from hundreds of nanometers to micrometers. Several influencing factors are systematically investigated to comprehensively understand the process. Particularly, the solvent quality is found determinative in either enhancing or suppressing the nucleation process to produce shorter and longer CMs, respectively. Taking advantage of this strategy, the lengths of CMs can be nicely controlled over a wide concentration range of four orders of magnitude. Lastly, CMs are produced on decent scales and applied as additives to dramatically toughen glassy plastic matrix, revealing an unprecedented length-dependent toughening effect.  相似文献

本文设计、制作了一种单侧外部驱动的弯张换能器,并利用有限元分析软件ANSYS构建了有限元模型,对换能器的电声参数进行了预测,计算结果与实验结果吻合较好。实验测得换能器的最大发射电压响应级为142dB,如果将发射电压加到1200V,换能器的最大声源级预计可达203dB。  相似文献
